Aerial Imaging
Used for land development, project imaging, corporate expansion planing, our process is unique and provides hundreds of images to manage your project. Each image is shot to high resolution film and in digital format with professional imaging systems using two imaging pilots. This method gives us hundreds of images on each mission.
Once the mission is complete within 24 hours or less your project is available for review on a secure site, password protected and open to collaboration with your team worldwide. ImageAbility has used this process throughout North, Central and South America. Nearly all missions are done under strict non-disclosure as requested by the customer.

Community Tours
Looking for information on a town or city you would like to open a facility or expand in? When satellite images have two little details and GIS images (if even available) are to flat, our animated and detailed orthographic tour is just the option.
Since these missions are typically under strict non-disclosure it would normally be difficult to provide a sample one for your review. A request for a project recently came in and we were able to donate the entire Aerial Imaging Portion!
If you have a moment you too can go on the mission and see what it is like. Just select our Virtual Flight Sample and you will take off for a Fall tour of the five orchards located in the community we are based in just south of Manchester Airport. On the way you will see other highlights, including town and school facilities, recreation parks, homes, roadways and just people having fun on this fall day, in and around town. Over 400 images were captured for this project. After careful review six were selected to represent the orchards in the community. They were recorded at 8000 dots per inch and enlarged up to 3 foot by 4 foot for display providing a theme for the conference rooms in the Londonderry Town Hall shown above.
Land Development Imaging
The Pulpit Rock image was created to provide Town planers, citizens and potential customers how the new neighborhood would fit into this sensitive landscape. A Large format display was created, along with marketing collateral for public meetings. The existing preservation area on the left was expanded by the developer when planning this exclusive group of homes.
Once these images are rendered they can be provided for marketing needs, PowerPoint presentations, handouts and large format displays for collaboration and presentation to the interested citizens.
Complete Site Imaging
When ImageAbility implements a mission, we typically take over 300 high resolution film images of the area. This is done in a expanding spiral from close to the earth through 8000 feet.
Often, within 24 hours the images are on the web in a secure private location for team collaboration. The aqua farm project shown here required no additional enhancement or rendering of the images. After selection on the web of the desired shots, prints were created along with a CD providing low to high resolution images.
Visual Simulation
Often times a community is interested in “how is it going to look?”, Many times the only way to gain support is to provide a aerial rendering of the facility. By using AutoCad data, ImageAbility constructs special effects models similar to those used in movie making. By blending one of the many images captured on the photo mission, with this special effects model, nearby residents increase their comfort level with the facility. In this case the plant even ended up with a “rose” colored paint scheme as requested by local homeowners.
These images were created with a process similar to the special effects imaging used in producing a realistic movie film. The engineering drawings were manufactured into miniature models. These were then captured on a special table, at the same angle as the imaging aircraft shot occurred, including lighting representing the time of day. This was all done at a resolution of 8000 dots per inch so that the image could be created in a format as large as ten feet wide. ImageAbility can also bring in AutoCad electronic renderings and integrate them to the images captured from the air, or provide the engineering firm with these images as required.
Accurate Site Positioning
By capturing a full color image, then orthographically correcting it with existing USGS, Satellite, GIS or other information, to a Planimetric image, accurate renderings are possible. The second image shows an AutoCad overlay with the earth at 5000 feet. In this project you can even see where the sugar cane has been cut at the property boundaries! The high end scanning equipment and resulting resolution help us to resolve the image down to one foot when necessary.
The next image has been enhanced with the AutoCad Plot plan.
This work was all done along with other renderings to help the nearby communities to understand and visualize the planned LNG power development. Many presentations and communication sessions were given to provide collaboration and a level of comfort with the facility and it’s technology.
